FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does a chiropractor do?

A chiropractor examines how your spine, joints and muscles move and treats mechanical problems such as back pain, neck pain and some headaches using hands-on adjustments, mobility work and exercise guidance.

What happens at my first chiropractic visit?

Your first visit includes a conversation about your health history, a physical and spinal exam, and a clear explanation of what Dr. Thomas finds. If care is a good fit, your first gentle adjustment can often happen the same day.

Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?

Most patients feel little to no discomfort during an adjustment. Some feel mild soreness for a day, similar to after a workout. Dr. Thomas adjusts technique and pressure to your comfort level.

What does an adjustment feel like?

Most people feel a quick, gentle movement and sometimes hear a pop, which is gas releasing from the joint. Many feel looser afterward. Mild soreness for a day is possible.
